Membership in the Lodge is an invitation to a life of moral improvement and brotherhood. To petition for admission, one must demonstrate a commitment to virtue, personal growth, and a desire to serve humanity. We welcome all who seek the Light of Freemasonry.

Common inquiries regarding our Craft and the path to membership.

What is the cost of membership?

Every lodge charges a one‑time fee when you petition and begin the degrees.
The Grand Lodge of Ohio notes that this fee covers administrative and degree‑related costs, but amounts vary by lodge.

How much time should I expect to commit?

Becoming a Freemason typically requires a few hours per month for meetings, plus additional time for memorization and degree work, and the full journey from petition to Master Mason usually takes 6 weeks to 18 months, depending on your pace and lodge expectations.

What are the expectations for a new candidate?

A candidate for Freemasonry is expected to bring character, sincerity, and a willingness to grow, not perfection. The fraternity is far more interested in who you are becoming than who you already are.

Is there an age requirement for membership?

Membership is open to men at least 19 years old or older who meet the character requirements, and  are seeking a path of virtue and service to humanity.
